Morganfield’s at The Star Vista

Morganfield’s wades into the ribs scene with a new spot at The Star Vista. The mall itself is a gastronomic shrine, with plenty of dining options –Morganfield’s, is the holy grail of ribs.

Their popularity is visible –just check out the snaking queue outside the restaurant on a Saturday night. You need to be patient on weekends if you’ve not made reservations.

Eggs & Berries

All-day-breakfast concepts are of utmost pertinence to late-risers who love breakfast foods like me. Jasper and I stumbled upon Eggs & Berries and it was an immediate consensus that we have to try it –we love eggs!

Situated at Changi City Point, chances of me passing by that far-flung end of Singapore is nearly zero. BUT, I will travel the distance to discover good food.

Did Eggs & Berries disappoint? Read on!

Sea of Love; Hard Rock Café’s new seafood additions

Hard Rock Café is known for its American classics and high-energy rock ‘n’ roll atmosphere. As reviewed previously, my dining experience at Hard Rock Café Sentosa was nothing short of satisfying.

Check out my review here: https://melicacy.com/?p=3576

This time round, I visit Hard Rock Café Orchard to try their new seafood additions.

Dallas Restaurant & Bar

Had a long busy day and your belly is starting to chime in?

Convenience is key. You don’t have to wander far from the Raffles Place MRT Station to arrive at Dallas Restaurant and Bar –it is just a few steps away from the ‘starting point’ of the lively stretch of Boat Quay’s riverfront restaurants where the office crowds, tourists and expats congregate at.

Occupying the first floor is an alfresco dining area and bar. The furnishings match the kitchen’s intent –decidedly Texas-style.

If you’re planning on having an urban Dallas Cowboy themed party, you’re on the right track.

Walk up the stairs, and you’ll be in for a surprise. A contrast to the urban cowboy’s den on the first floor, a charming restaurant takes up the second floor, radiating a classy yet cosy vibe.

I love the snugly cushioned seats, and huggable plush pillows that add a vibrant splash of colours while providing comfort and cosiness.

12 OpenRicers were invited to OpenRice’s 26th Tasty Union (tasting session).

6 Dallas Platters and 6 main courses emerged from the kitchen, one at a time. And by the end of the last main course, we were too stuffed for dessert!

Be prepared to feast on enormous portions, Southern style.

Café Epicurious at The Rail Mall

What do you crave for on a lazy, sunny late morning? It is past breakfast hours but you’ve barely gotten your lazybones out of bed, snoozing at every chance you get. It is time to freshen up and head out for brunch –you won’t regret this.

“I love eggs” is an understatement. I can’t stress enough how much I love eggs. All my favourite foods involve egg –whether as a main ingredient, or just as an appendage to add flavour. The world would be disastrous without eggs. For that matter, I will never become a vegan by choice.

Brunch affairs best exemplify the glory of eggs.

In this post, I will introduce to you one of my favourite brunch spots: Epicurious, which is situated at The Rail Mall.

I would usually skip breakfast and even lunch (not wise), due to my odd sleeping habits, but getting out of bed for brunch at Epicurious is nowhere near dreadful. I was, in fact, looking forward to it all week long.

The Rail Mall is home to a several eateries, cafés and restaurants. Previously, I have tried lip-smacking Thai food from Sweet Salty Spicy (Click to read my review), adjacent to Epicurious. You are free to sit at either restaurant (whichever ambience suits your mood) and order anything you fancy – you have the option to mix and match items from both menus.

New York New York –a menu dedicated to Mommy Dearest

In the whole month of May, the ‘Mommy Dearest’ Menu is available at all New York New York outlets.

This menu, featuring two specially designed dishes that incorporate familiar flavours, will satisfy the Eastern taste buds as well as your wallet.

Laksa Seafood Pasta ($18.90++)

The last Asian interpretation of pasta I had was at Gardenasia (https://melicacy.com/?p=3609) –the Hokkien Pasta. I thought that was epic, but the Laksa Seafood Pasta impresses just as much.

The coconut cream base exhibits just the right amount of creaminess without being cloying. The luscious and flavourful sauce adheres onto the surface of every strand of pasta beautifully, and the flavours seep right into the epicentre of the pasta. Aromatic and mildly spiced, this dish will tantalise your taste buds.

It comes with sliced hard-boiled egg – traditionally paired with Laksa – to complete the experience.

Hard Rock Cafe, Resort World Sentosa

Hard Rock Café is rocking our island three outlets to date –the oldest outlet in Orchard, its second outlet in Changi Airport Terminal 3 transit lounge, and its newest outlet at The Forum in Resort World Sentosa.

The trend of collecting Hard Rock Café t-shirts and merchandise from all over the world has yet to dwindle, evidently with a steady string of tourists purchasing highly prized collectibles and mementos.

Hard Rock Café is predominantly known for its vast music collection and signature décor. Will the foods make the cut?
