the hospital stay

i was warded for almost 2 weeks! just got discharged 3 days ago.. i requested to go home despite the doctor’s advises to stay a few more days. i’m nursing my wound at home now :)

i was really touched when friends came to visit me :) friends i’ve not met for YEARS… a friend i’ve never met in real life…

Paul <3 (she came so many times! her best friend’s a nurse at the same burn unit so she could come at non-visiting hours!! i love her so much i’m sooo much less lonely with her around <3)
Graig (he bought me a huge POOH bear! too bad my parents had to bring it home because i can’t have it after my operation due to bacteria concerns)
JiaYing (it was our first time meeting each other! really glad to meet her! she bought me frootloops <3)
GekCheng & Jeremy (its been YEARS since we met!!! great time catching up, i’ve missed her sooo much!! thanks for all the yummy snacks!!)
Jonathan (our first time meeting after many many years too! it was our 2nd time meeting! thanks for the tonics!)
DeLiang and JunJie (our first time meeting after YEARS too!! used to club together when i was underaged like 15-16! LOL. its been 7 years!!!!! gosh..)
My cousin Fang Zhen & family (i was asleep after my operation so i didnt get to see them)
My cousin Sheyanne
My aunts
my mom’s friends

i’m brought closer to them and i’ll definitely remember their care and concern! probably give them a treat when i’m well!! :)

hospital food isn’t as bad as what everyone says! i finish my food :)
the hospital stay’s changed my eating habits! i was soooo healthy those 2 weeks! 3 regular meals daily! and my parents bring me extra homecooked food like steamed fish and soup etc!
i gained a little weight there :D although its not enough… but still better than nothing!
back at home i’m eating junkfood all the time and i don’t eat 3 regular meals at all. i eat like at the end of the day till past midnight infront of the tv! munching on junkfood for HOURS!
my parents want me to continue having this healthy eating habit when i’m discharged but temptation’s everywhere :(
they were so excited about giving a food timetable like hospital style, asking my maid to send food to the room breakfast lunch dinner. all healthy food. my dad doesnt want me to go downstairs at all (where all the junkfoods are)
but its so hard to resist :/

the nurses were so nice! and the last few days there i had a ward all to myself because the aunty next to me was transferred to another ward due to some bacterial infection.
staying in the hospital wasn’t a bad experience but the pain definitely is….
i didn’t know burns could be that serious.. i didn’t know people could actually die from burns!
i was well taken care of, temperature and blood pressure taken thrice daily.
after the operation i was bed-ridden for 5 days. can’t move much. had to use a bed pan whenever i wanna pee. and was so constipated i haven’t shat since i was admitted. after the 5 days and removal of staples on the operated area, i can finally get out of bed but my wounded feet started bleeding as soon as i got down on my feet. had to use walking aid :/
so that’s the area that i’m nursing now. i’m still having difficulty walking so my mom got clutches and walking aid for me.
but back at home since i’m in the room all the time i didn’t have to walk much, the toilet is just a few hops away. like 4 steps.

supposed to fly to perth to visit my sis on the 7 oct but obviously i can’t go anymore ):
i was really looking forward to visiting her ):
