McDonald’s brings you fruity smoothies

Coke, milkshakes and milo are what I would habitually pair my Extra Value Meal with.

For a healthier alternative, McDonald’s now introduces the nutritious freshly blended smoothies that are made with real fruits and yoghurt.

The two flavours available are Mango Pineapple Smoothie and Strawberry Banana Smoothie.

The Mango Pineapple Smoothie is a refreshing and invigorating blend; it is not too sweet not too sour. The exotic flavour combination is well balanced, with the acidity from pineapple and richness from mango, all in perfect ratio.

The Strawberry Banana Smoothie is an energising and nourishing blend of harmonising flavours. Strawberry lends sweetness and tartness, while banana imparts thickness to the smoothie.

Yoghurt is a great source of protein and calcium; it contains live, active and friendly bacterial cultures keeping the stomach and intestinal tract healthy and the immune system strong.

Smoothies are cold, thick and creamy – without being watered-down or containing icy bits – delivering a burst of fruity flavours in every sip.

They are permanently available on the menu, at $3.45 (12oz) and $3.95 (16oz) at all McDonald’s restaurants.
