Sogurt, So yummy Yogurt

Sogurt takes its name from its main product –yogurt. They have produced more than 10 different flavours of low-fat, high calcium frozen yogurt, with four outlets in Singapore till date.

The interior is bedecked in vivid hues, with warm lighting illuminating the space; it is clean, bright, airy, playful and not pretentiously ornate. The atmosphere is vibrant and casual, with a succession of expats, students and families.

The cheery vibe does not stop at the superficial level. You get to create your very own personalised yogurt, and the fun starts at the yogurt-dispensing booth. The activity begins with a slight push of a handle, where a steady stream of yogurt falls neatly into your cup.

A wide range of toppings is available for you to mix and match: fruits, seeds, nuts, candies, as well as wet toppings such as honey, caramel, strawberry and chocolate syrup can be generously scattered and liberally drizzled onto your yogurt according to your own preferences. Astoundingly, bubble tea pearls are available as well! I wonder how that would go with yogurt! Is anyone adventurous enough to try that?

At Sogurt, you pay for what you get and you get what you pay for. Your cup of yogurt is weighed at the counter, where you will be charged according to the accurate reading on the scale.

Yogurt

Sogurt does a fine job in producing yogurt to a light and perfectly smooth consistency.

Personal favourites include the Grape and Lychee –the Grape flavour for its familiar taste pertaining to ‘yakult’, and Lychee flavour for its clean and slightly perfume-y sweet taste.

The Red Velvet is a must-try!

Yogurt at Sogurt makes a healthy substitute to the fattening and sugar-laden ice cream. For instance, a serving (83g) of plain yogurt here contains only 90 calories, 0% fat, 0% cholesterol, 7% carbohydrate, 10% protein and 2% vitamins.

(Nutritional facts are available at their website, great for those who wish to keep track of their calorie intake.)

Sogurt’s way of showing their appreciation to your patronage is by offering you perks, such as vouchers and free yogurt, based on accumulated stamps from each cup of yogurt purchased.

Another reason to make Sogurt your chill-out spot: free Wifi is available at all outlets!
