Breez Bistro.Bar at Hotel Grand Mercure Roxy Singapore

Breez Bistro Bar is located on the newly revamped of Hotel Grand Mercure Roxy Singapore, ensconced comfortably by the poolside. Diners can choose to dine indoors or spend a languid day sipping on tipples and munching on bar bites outdoors by the pool.

Happy Hour happens daily from 5pm to 8pm.

Hotel Grand Mercure Roxy Singapore operates a Halal Certified Kitchen on that prepares all the Halal cuisine available in the hotel, including the a la carte menus at Breez Bistro Bar, Feast@East Buffet Restaurant, and the Halal selection in the In-room Dining menu.

There aren’t many restaurants in Singapore that serves Halal food and provide fine-dining standards of service concurrently; hence Breez Bistro Bar would make a popular choice among Halal consumers.

For the best value, go for their set meals. Set lunches are priced from $32 per person, while the 4-course set dinner is priced at $58 per person. Set meals include a complimentary drink with the choice of a glass of house wine, mocktail, beer or fruit juice.

I let the bartender decide on the mocktail, and I was pleasantly surprised by their creativity. A slice of orange was being lighted up to extract the citrusy essence.

Like how fine-dining restaurants would serve bread before the first course arrives, Breez Bistro Bar also puts this into practice to pamper customers.

The bread is a unique naan-like oven-baked flatbread, accompanied by olive oil and a spice mix.

Prawn Cocktail

The Set Dinner that I had is a 4-course meal priced at $58 per person, which includes an appetiser, soup, choice of main, dessert and a complimentary drink.

Wild Mushroom Soup

Service is great by the way. Staffs have undergone training WSQ (Workforce Skills Qualification) training and the hotel has been taking part in the Singapore National Restaurant Skills Competition, which helps raise service standards.

Pan Seared Salmon with Mustard Sauce and Roasted Potatoes

As a fish lover, I went straight for the Pan Seared Salmon with Mustard Sauce and Roasted Potatoes without second thoughts. This beautifully plated main course satisfies with the substantial 180g-slab of salmon.

The other option for mains was the Grilled Ribeye with Mushroom Ragout and Roasted Potatoes, which sounds equally enticing.

Warm Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream

Dessert was decent but nothing to shout about.
