Doesn’t it get you into the festive mood instantly?
Roasted Tom Turkey ($138, 5kg)
Now that you’re in a Christmas-y trance, I shall attempt to make you hungry with some food porn –essentially the Christmas offerings from Marina Mandarin Singapore.
Heritage Peranakan Roasted Turkey ($148, 5kg)
Whole turkey marinated with nonya spices; mushroom stuffing and sautéed vegetables; homemade tamarind Jus.
Baked Salmon & Prawn Duxelle Pie wrapped in Puff Pastry served with Truffle Cream Sauce ($88, serves 6)
A must-try from their savoury menu is the Baked Salmon & Prawn Duxelle wrapped in Puff Pastry. Light, buttery and crusty pastry encases moist and tender salmon –the surprising element is the rather Asian-tasting prawn duxelle. The truffle cream sauce that came alongside made this dish even more irresistible.
Durian Yule Log ($55, 1kg)
Durian lovers would lust after the Durian Yule Log. Vanilla sponge is interlaid with rich durian mousse and durian pulp –resulting in a delightfully light and creamy mouthfeel.
One of the Christmas highlights is the 7 metres tall Gingerbread House, roosted at the hotel’s main lobby.
Celebration of Joy ($158)
It’s not difficult to put a smile on someone’s face when there’re the festive hampers!
The Celebration of Joy comprises assorted Christmas cookies, santa boot with pralines, santa with gift, gingerbread figurine, brandy & rum fruit cake, mince fruit pie, stolen with almond filling and house red wine.
