Having participated in Mandarin Orchard Singapore’s pre-Christmas media party for three consecutive years, I have to say that they’ve consistently and successfully delivered the whole festive atmosphere –even despite celebrating Christmas 2 months before the actual day.
If there be an award to the best pre-Christmas media party, Mandarin Orchard Singapore would win hands down! Everyone had so much fun.
So what’s taking place at Mandarin Orchard Singapore this Christmas?
One of the highlights would be the Chocolate Christmas House located at the main lobby of the hotel on level 5. Adding a festive and welcoming touch, the Chocolate Christmas House is made from 600 kilograms of three types of chocolate from Cocoa Berry, and decked with chocolate figurines and ornaments.
For a sumptuous Christmas feast, head over to Triple Three to enjoy a buffet spread that includes the Christmas special Pan-fried Marinated Duck Liver with Miso and Black Truffle, and have a go at the carving stations of Turkey, Kagoshima Wagyu Beef, and the signature Premium Honey Glazed Ham, in addition to indulging in an array of Japanese-inspired dishes.
Newly introduced Christmas roasts perfect for home parties and office celebrations are the Roasted Sakura Chicken with Chestnut Stuffing, seasoned with truffle, spices and herbs, and the Roasted Spanish Suckling Pig that’s paired with applesauce.
The signature Premium Honey Glazed Gammon Ham is an all-time favourite! Its recipe has constantly been perfected over the last 30 years. Juicy, moist and tender, not too salty, with just enough fat for flavour –this gem is a definite crowd-pleaser!
I’m hungry just thinking about how much I enjoyed it while it lasted.
The festive Yule logs made by Executive Pastry Chef Babu and his team will sweeten and brighten your Christmas meal. The Delicious Dulcey Yule Log is made with a combination of French Dulcey chocolate cremux hazelnut, flourless cocoa sponge and praline mousse. The Strawberry & Cheesecake Brulee Yule Log, Grand Cru Chocolate & Passion Cream Yule Log, and Mandarin Rock & Roll Yule are other new treats
The signature Festive Macaron Tart makes a comeback with its colourful ring of macarons surrounding a light and airy cake.
