Afternoon Tea Set ($28++ for 2 pax) at O’Coffee Club

O’Coffee Club launches an Afternoon Tea Set priced at just $28++, offering great value for money spent. The three-tiered set, filled with an array of sweet and savoury treats, is designed to feed 2 guests generously, allowing room for a 3rd friend to share the enjoyment. Served between 3pm to 5pm daily from now till 30 April 2015, the Afternoon Tea is available at selected outlets (Millenia Walk, Paragon, Raffles City, Wheelock Place, Wisma Atria and Changi Airport Terminal 3). That said, there might be plans to involve its other outlets.

Red Berry Tea (U.P $7.20)

Also included in the Afternoon Tea set are hot beverages, pick any 2 from O’Coffee Club’s range of premium coffees such as latte and cappuccino, or from a selection of gourmet Gryphon teas.

Rosebud (U.P $7.20)

I picked the soothing Rosebud Tea wafting of sweet floral aroma.

Fixed with two pieces of each item, there are a total of 11 varieties if I didn’t miscalculate.

On the bottom tier, there are the savoury sandwiches such as the BLT Sandwich with ciabatta bread, the open-faced Smoked Salmon on toasted focaccia and Ham & Cheese Sandwich, a comforting combination of pork ham, sliced cheese and mayonnaise between focaccia bread.

On the middle tier, you will find the Mango Diva encompassing light mango yoghurt mousse on a bed of red date and walnut cake, the bite-sized Apple Cinnamon Crumble tart, Almond Biscotti infused with coffee, Chocolate Eclairs pumped to the brim with light chocolate mousse and iced with chocolate ganache, the highly sought-after Peanut Butter Macaron with a rich peanut butter and chocolate cream sandwiched between crisp orange blossom shells, and the utterly moist carrot cake that awed us all.

On the top tier, there are the raisin scones that many of us at the table spoke highly of. Arriving warm and crusty, the scones are enjoyable with the accompanying butter and strawberry jams, but best with the O’Coffee Club’s special touch of house-made orange mascarpone.

Arriving beside the tier is the petite Verrine carrying a few mouthfuls of sponge soaked in passionfruit syrup, mingling with fresh orange, whipping cream and chocolate pearls.

For $28++ for all these, you can’t find a better deal elsewhere of the same comfortable environs.
