Cola Café by Jack’s Place

Jack’s Place launches a new concept, Cola Café, in tandem with its revamped look, beginning at its newest restaurant outlet at Paya Lebar Square. Read more about Jack’s Place’s new look and menu at my previous post. Adjacent to Jack’s Place, Cola Café is a casual outlet catering to a diverse age group – counting in youths, working colleagues, homemakers and retirees – to catch up and linger over coffee and tea, as well as enjoy cakes, pastries and ice cream. There’re also salads and pastas on the menu if you’re intending to grab a quick lunch or dinner.

Cola Café by Jack’s Place also serves as a retail store for ready-to-cook marinated steaks, pre-packed sauces, escargot platters, boutique wines, craft beers and more, allowing customers the option to enjoy the popular dishes at home, requiring minimal cooking skills. These are great as gifts.

A nice cut of chilled NZ steak is going for $6 onwards.

Pies can be purchased in its refrigerated form and re-heated at home.

Craft beers

Take a seat at the café after shopping to enjoy a cup of aromatic coffee and some sweet treats. Jack’s Place’s pastry team does a fine job with cakes, many of which beautifully put together and reasonably priced, starting from $4.50.

Salted Caramel

Appealing highly to freelancers, there is free WIFI as well as power outlets. On some days, I can be spotted there with a laptop, drafting out exciting new places to eat on my blog! The ice cream is one of the biggest draws for me –simply because it’s Udders ice cream.

Café Latte ($5)

Fans of Udders and Smitten Coffee will be thrilled to know about the brands’ joint collaboration with Cola Café, all of which are local home-grown brands.

Sundae ($10.90)

You can choose to order ice cream by the scoop, or go for the signature sundaes that are exclusively assembled by Udders for Cola Café. Sundaes consist of three ice cream flavours: the Choco Peanut comprises Peanut Butter Crunch, Classic Chocolate and Snickers Mars Honeycomb Vanilla, the Cookie Wookie comprises Snickers Mars Honeycomb Vanilla, Horlicks Balls and Cookies & Cream, the Good Ol’ Days comprises Horlicks Balls, Dreamy Vanilla and Peanut Butter Crunch, and the Fruity Tooty comprises Sunny Strawberry, Dreamy Vanilla and Milky Mango ice cream. Sundaes are best when ayered with multiple crunchy textures like the one I’m having!

Waffles with sundae toppings ($14.70)

You can also choose to have the sundae concoction on a waffle, although personally I find greater joy enjoying Udder’s ice cream in a tall sundae glass.
