TungLok Group introduces 3 new gift boxes this season, to add to a total of 4 different kinds of packaging to choose from.

Other options include the Tung Lok Perfect Duo ($58 for 4 pieces –2 pieces of Double Yolk White Lotus and 2 pieces of Double Red Lotus), Mediacorp Tung Lok Mooncakes ($56 for 4 pieces –Egg Yolk White Lotus, Egg Yolk Red Lotus, Egg Yolk Pandan Lotus with Pistachios and Mixed Nuts), and the Tung Lok Bite-size Mooncakes ($48 for 16 pieces –Orange Peel White Lotus, Pandan Lotus, Red Lotus, Black Sesame, Red Bean Almond, Pineapple, White Lotus and Green Tea Lotus, 2 pieces per flavour).

Shanghai Dream –Egg Yolk White Lotus ($46 for 4 pieces)

The Shanghai Dream collection features 4 flavours of traditional baked mooncakes –Egg Yolk White Lotus, Macadamia Nuts White Lotus, Egg Yolk Pandan Lotus with Pistachios and Double Yolk White Lotus – priced at $46 for 4 pieces except the Double Yolk White Lotus, which is priced at $48 for 4 pieces.

The lotus paste is just-sufficiently sweet without being too rich and sticky. I also like the fact that the yolk is always smack in the middle of the mooncake –so when you divide the mooncake into quarters, every quarter gets an evenly distributed amount of yolk.
