(Mid-Autumn Festival 2014) Sheraton Towers Singapore’s Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant

Traditionalists are bound to give the mooncakes at Sheraton Towers Singapore their stamps of approval. Bending conventional rules this year, Chef Chung Yiu Ming and his culinary team from Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant have subtly incorporated modern touches to the mooncakes without having lost the traditional appeal.

The Yellow Lotus Seed Paste with Cranberries and Hazelnuts is a new flavour introduced to its range of traditionally baked mooncakes this year that brings a touch of fruitiness and crunch in a delicate way.

The traditionally baked White Lotus Seed Paste with Double Egg Yolks mooncake remains highly favoured, available in a set of 4 in the 2014 Premium Box and Premium Jewellery Box at $88.

For other flavours, go for the Empress Treasure Box, priced from $63. Flavours include White Lotus Seed Paste with Single Egg Yolk ($63 for 4 pieces), White Lotus Seed Paste ($63 for 4 pieces), Yellow Lotus Seed Paste with Cranberries and Hazelnuts ($63 for 4 pieces), and Mixed Nuts with Yunnan Ham ($64 for 4 pieces).

Snowskin flavours include the Mini White Lotus Seed Paste with Champagne Truffle ($56 for 8 pieces), Mini White Lotus Seed Paste with Lemon Mandarin Truffle ($56 for 8 pieces) and Mini Green Tea White Lotus Seed Paste with Rosehip Truffle ($56 for 8 pieces).

The mooncakes are available at Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant (11.30am to 10.30pm) or Sheraton Towers Singapore Hotel Lobby Mooncake Booth (11am to 9.30pm) from 6 August to 8 September 2014, as well as the Mooncake Booths at Change Alley from 11 August to 8 September (10am to 7pm, weekdays only) and Takashimaya from 7 August to 8 September (10am to 10pm).

Complimentary delivery applies to orders of 50 boxes and above. There will be a surcharge of $50 per location for orders of less than 50 boxes. Delivery timings are from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm. Orders must be placed at least 2 working days prior to the date of delivery or collection.
