6-Course Peking Duck Feast set dinner at Jade Restaurant, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore

Having dined at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore’s Jade Restaurant during the a la carte dinner buffet promotion last December, memories of the superb dining experience still lingers. This season, I found another good reason to return. Jade Restaurant brings back the famed Peking Duck Feast, which will take place from now till 31 March 2014.

The 6-course Peking Duck Feast set dinner, priced at $58++ per person, features the roasted delicacy in creative ways.

Roasted Peking Duck with Marinated Orange Peel, Yellow Bean Sauce and Cucumber wrapped in Pancake

Served in a thin pancake together with marinated orange peel and cucumber, the crackling skin of the peking duck provides an amazingly juicy crunch. Well-marinated and exceedingly tasty, the quality of the peking duck shines in tandem with complementing ingredients.

Taking a peek inside.

For a table of 5 diners and above, you get to enjoy the entire duck.

Pumpkin Soup with Duck and Shrimp Wonton

The pumpkin soup is deeply comforting. Plump wontons are generously filled with duck meat and shrimp –succulent and juicy.

Steamed Silken Chawanmushi with Crabmeat and Mushrooms accompanied with Sliced Black Truffle

Here’s a duck-less course that acts as a palate cleanser before moving on to the heavier duck dishes. The light and smooth silken chawanmushi is loaded with crabmeat and mushroom. Adding a touch of luxury and aroma is the sliced black truffle.

Sautéed Duck Meat with Pan Seared Foie Gras, Roasted Garlic and Green Asparagus

The Sautéed Duck Meat with Pan Seared Foie Gras impresses. Duck meat is rendered tender and juicy, several notches more so than how duck meat is, usually, tough and dry. This dish alone could fetch $50, but here it is part of the $58++ 6-course meal –how worth it!

XO Fried Fragrant Rice with Diced Duck Meat and Scallop in XO Sauce

The fried rice did not disappoint one bit. The fragrance permeates the air and arouses the senses.

Shaved Rose Coconut Ice with Fresh Strawberry

Being Singaporean, I would totally call this bandung-flavoured coconut ice cream, but this homemade ice cream is much more refined.

For a limited period this month, you can order a Whole Peking Duck, served with zesty Marinated Orange Peel and housemade Pancakes at a special price of $48++ (usual price $76++).

Jade Restaurant’s Peking Duck Feast is available from now till 31 March 2014 from 6.30pm to 10.30pm at $58++ per person and $38++ per child (6 to 11 years old). For reservations, call or email .
