The RX100, already hugely impressive, brings its brilliance to greater heights with the launch of the RX100 mark II.

The RX100 II surpasses the shooting prowess of its preceding version in terms of enhanced picture quality, increased capability of shooting at a higher ISO up to 12,800, and convenient new features.
Sony’s range of external flashes, microphones and the electronic viewfinder can now be used with the RX100 II, thanks to the new multi-interface hotshoe.
There’s also a piece of good news for photography enthusiasts who have a penchant for uploading photos instantly to various social media platforms on the go. The RX100 II offers Wi-Fi sharing directly to your smartphone via the Near Field Communication (NFC) connectivity.
The difference between the original RX100 and the RX100 II is not a tremendous leap; the resolution remains the same high 20.2-megapixel count as before.
Noteworthy is the newly added TRILUMINOS Colour technology that ensures richer and more natural colours.
I got to experience first-hand how the new RX100 II excels. Below are some test shots.
