Kronenbourg 1664 presents ‘Unmask the Taste of French Summer’

Premium French lager, Kronenbourg 1664, is no stranger to international brewing awards, and has entrenched itself into the hearts of innumerable Singaporeans.

Kronenbourg 1664 has orchestrated a series of exciting parties since its launch on our sunny island in 2009. These are the two events that I’ve attended:

- The launch of ‘1664 Signs of Attraction Facebook application on 24 February 2012. (Read here: https://melicacy.com/?p=3376)
- Kronenbourg 1664 Cupid Party at SkyLoft on 30 March 2012. (Read here: https://melicacy.com/?p=3605)

Favoured for its refreshing taste and fruity overtones, Kronenbourg 1664 BLANC’s fans are legion. Enthusiasts and those new to the beer were invited to the “Unmask the Taste of French Summer” exclusive party at High Society Mansion on 26 July 2012.

High Society is about living the good life, through the enjoyment of music and good food –now, supplemented with excellent beer.

Bedecked in classy fabrics and shiny tiles of deep red, black and white, the jazzy and classy interior accentuates elegance without imposing stringent formality.

Canapés were served throughout the evening alongside free-flow Kronenbourg 1664 BLANC.

Kronenbourg 1664 Brand Ambassadors went round approaching customers with a ‘scent tray’ containing some of the ingredients that go into making Kronenbourg 1664 BLANC truly distinctive; hence ‘unmasking’ the unique qualities of this wheat beer.

You don’t need an outsized sense of smell to be able to distinguish the ingredients -coriander seeds, orange peel and wheat.

Did you know that coriander seeds offer a range of health benefits? High on the list of healing spices, it is traditionally used for its anti-inflammatory properties and cholesterol-lowering effects. It is generally beneficial to the nervous system and digestive system.

Sweet orange peel and coriander is a beautiful combination of refreshing citrus and uplifting crisp aromas for the perfect balance.

Marinated Rock Lobster with Citrus gelée

The highlights for this foodie are the canapés.

Smoked salmon on Buckwheat blinis with Avruga caviar

The canapés and Kronenbourg 1664 BLANC seemed to complement each other very well. I wonder if they’d specially curated the menu for this event.

Le Petite Niçoise, Parmesan Tuile

High quality canapés are beautifully presented –pleasing to both the eye and to the palate!

Forest mushroom and truffle Vol Au Vent

Seasonal Melon and Aged Prosciutto

The classic Parma Ham and Rock Melon is a simple but superb combination of sweet and salty. The rock melon was particularly sweet and juicy that evening!

Tiger Prawn and Coriander Beignet

Highly addictive! Golden crisp skin encases succulent prawn within.

“Kronenbourg” Braised Angus Beef with Potato

Beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Outstanding.

High Society Free range chicken bites with Coriander and Citrus dressings

Coconut Lime Macaron, Rose & Raspberry Macaron

I simply adore the macarons, especially the green ones!

The event was a great success, and would not have been possible without the competent and professional team from Sixth Sense Communications.
