The Grand Astor Afternoon Tea at The St. Regis Singapore (3pm to 5pm daily)

Almost nothing beats a relaxing afternoon with a perfect blend of tea paired with the most delectable bites away from the hype and buzz of paper work. The St. Regis Singapore offers a harmonious tea experience and a spread of sweet delights at The Grand Astor Afternoon Tea held by Brasserie Les Saveurs. The Wellness Group (TWG) tea connoisseur has specially arranged an exclusive selection of teas that will pair perfectly with the epicurean spread for our indulgence.

On top of the afternoon tea buffet spread, guests will be served savoury pastries and enticing desserts set on a quintessential three-tiered silver stand, which are changed frequently based on chef’s creations of the day.

Complimenting the Mistel Tea are a trio of savoury tarts, namely with the foie gras parfait, smoked salmon mousse and cheese cream filling.

The Mistel Tea is a fragrant and refreshing green tea with citrus from Mediterranean shores, embodying a fruity and floral aroma permeating with a citrus aftertaste.

The Grand Wedding Tea completes the sandwich selection, which includes one with Parma ham, fresh tomato, Brie cheese and cocktail sauce, and another with turkey ham, romaine lettuce, Marie Rose sauce and shaved Emmental.

As it’s name suggests, the Grand Wedding Tea is festive tea commonly served to celebrate life’s momentous occasions. Its blend exhibits sunflower and exotic fruits. Brimming with strong essences, it is the red wine of teas. At its first pour, patrons can immediately be delighted with the whiff of passion fruit and mango aroma and taste a tinge of ‘muscatel’, or known as musky spiciness.

Marrying desserts is The St. Regis Singapore Signature Blend, an intertwining of green and black tea with a trail of white chocolate, nuts and a tang of white rose and jasmine blossoms. This is a sophisticated blend of tea developed specially for The St. Regis Singapore, and made only available here.

When served iced, it yields as a thin-bodied and pale yellow infusion, hitting home with a familiar childhood taste.

The buffet spread carries 5 varieties of scones: the classic, savoury and sweet. The Pesto Scone is a personal favourite.

A wide selection of jams is available for scone-pairing jollification.

The desserts over at the buffet spread are a huge hit.

Serenading the crowd are soothing piano melodies by a vehement and almost emotional pianist who seems to have accumulated a lifetime experience of piano playing.

Enjoy a variation of the items in the three-tiered silver tray together with the buffet spread at $48++ per person from Sunday to Friday, and $58++ per person on Saturday (with a tea dance).
