Ice Cream Chefs at SAFRA Mount Faber


Ice Cream Chefs is no stranger to the ice cream scene in Singapore; thus far delighting residents of the Upper Thomson and East Coast precinct, and those who are willing to travel for merriment. With the newly opened outlet at SAFRA Mount Faber, those residing in the vicinity have something to look forward to when the sweltering heat gets unbearable.

Ice cream are made fresh daily, with over 10 flavours to choose from each day, several on a rotational basis.

NYDC is serious about desserts


NYDC revamped their menu sometime back in July 2013, and now the menu focuses hugely on desserts –there are over 30 dessert items at present.

The vibrant illustrations make flipping the menu engrossing, and the quirky names of the dishes spruces things up.

I Scream Burger ($9.80)

In addition to their signature mudpies that are available in a myriad of flavours, there’s the ‘Choco Cookie Monster’, a triple chocolate delight, ‘I Scream Burger’, a brioche sandwich filled with three scoops of ice cream, and ‘Let’s Get Berry High’, yogurt sorbet with wild berries soaked in red wine.

Chocolate Masterclass with a Michelin Touch at Regent Singapore


Things are getting sweetened up at Regent Hotel, with Executive Pastry Chef Domenico Di Clemente from Michelin-starred Il Palagio at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze presenting sweet creations at Dolcetto by Basilico from 16 January 2013.

I had the privilege of attending Chef Domenico’s first-ever chocolate showcase in Singapore. The Chocolate Masterclass was held at Basilico Restaurant’s well-equipped private cooking studio, where cooking demos and classes are held upon request or booking.
